The pandemic of 2020 ushered in the idea for a real-time remote dental care solution. The goal of the solution was to help dental patients consult their dentists. They receive advice on next steps for their care from the comfort of their home.
The mobile application developed by IronRooster for the Client allows patients to complete a form and send images to a dentist who can evaluate the information in a web app, provide a diagnosis and, in urgent cases, advise patients to seek immediate care.
The IronRooster team used agile methods during the development and completed several sprints over the course of a three-month development phase. This process made it possible for the Client to reprioritize features and implement new ideas. The global pandemic of 2020 shed a light on the need for teledentistry. It also highlighted the positive changes this technology can bring about rendering this solution the first step in a long-term collaboration with DentaLive.
